    • Recent Slot Car Flea Market This is the fourth year that Michael and I made the trek out to Dungannon for the flea market. It's always a beautiful drive out to the country this time of year. We always have a lot of fun. Here are a few pics from the show. Lots of HO scale vendors there. But there's always a few 1/32 temptations. I only bought one 1/32 car. Something I've been looking for, for a long time. The yellow Boss 302 Mustang in street trim. And a few old HO cars. Thanks for looking. Ken

    • Recent Group 25 Show The show was a success. But it did have a few set backs. I was not feeling well and arrived very late. No early bird specials for me. Art was held back and could not make it. Everyone wishes him well, and sent greetings. Comparison to last year: Show stats. Contest - 162 entries  Last year 210 entries # through the door....436    Last year…383 I had no desire to buy anything this year. But staring across at Marty and Cindy's tables all day was a temptation in itself. A Ferrari for $15. Someone already started the chassis. Shame. Slot car maybe? I bought this for $20. Thanks Marty and Cindy! Ted and I often trade stuff. He donated this to me. A Strombecker Citroen?! It's in amazing shape except for the tires. Thanks Ted!

    • Pieces for D’Art Chappy 2J Kit Sold at GRP25 show Hello gents, somehow I'd acquired 2 of the beautiful D'Art Chappy 2J kits, decided to sell 1 at the show...I sold it to a gent, he asked me to open and show to him which I obliged, but shortly afterwards, I noticed a very small ziplock that had some of the kit detail in it(Roll bar/Mirrors/Stacks), which he must have not put back in...I feel really bad, I looked for him but couldn't find him. Perhaps someone knows him?? If so, please give them my contact details, and would be happy to mail to him. He must be in the 'Slotcar community', so maybe you know him, or could ask around. Hello Racers, stay tuned to Classified section tomorrow....CFO has 'suggested' I cull the herd, and I'm heeding the 'advice'. :>)   Will have new and used/not abused on offer.     • Group25 show spoils I reserved a table at yesterdays Group25 show last fall or I would have been at Nova Ridge. I bought more than I sold. Oops. The 1/32 Russian Yak-18 will eventually be hung as a decoration above my new track. It will be painted as a stunt/show plane. The red Strombecker Chapparal 2D is an odd looking thing. You can't have too many Camaro's. Can you? I bought five 1/25 kits. I might turn one into a slot car.

    • 2019 Toronto Indy anyone going? I'm going to head down to Free (donation) Friday. Not sure about the rest of the weekend. I have no idea what's going on in Indycar this year since they took it off regular sportsnet and put it on some pay rugby channel. Someone at Rogers/Indycar has head in ass disease. Anyone else going?

    • Heritage con 2019 Anyone interested in picking up a plastic model or attending a seminar on weathering models might be interested in Heritagecon 2019 this Sunday at Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton.     • Group-25 Model Car Builders meeting invitation Group-25 has extented an invitation to the S32/R32 slot car club to join them for an afternoon of model and slot car building show & tell. We can share our skills with each other about building, painting, detailing, etc... These are the guys hosting the Slot Car and Model show in March. Please bring some of your cool stuff to show. There will be a track or two set up for some beater cars that can afford to break. Don't expect to run your nice cars there. The track is merely for newbie entertainment and to get people interested in slot cars. That's our goal too. Just as an example. DB can show off his green Ford Tudor he just brought to the Carrera Panamericana. The wiper blade marks on the windshield and general weathering are cool and inspirational. We can learn from these guys too. Some of the Group-25 members are master-builders. Check out some of the pics on their site from previous meetings. https://www.group25.org/meetings.htm The date - Feb 9th.  The time - 3pm until 7pm.  Location - Armour Heights Community Center on the southwest corner of Avenue road and Wilson avenue. Take Avenue Road exit and head south of the 401 to the first light. Here is a photo of the cool stuff various members gave to me for free to make into slot cars. Nice bunch of people. The file and brush are Christmas gifts from Cindy and Marty at Toys4Everyone. Everyone in the club got them. I hope a few can join us for a day of fun. Thank you. Ken

    • Mosport Vintage event? June 14th – 17th 2018 https://canadiantiremotorsportpark.com/pages/canadian-historic-grand-prix Formula 5000 is the feature this year so it should be a good one. If you have never been to this event or Mosport it is a great weekend to make your acquaintance with this historic track. Camping is free with weekend admission. Anyone going?
