Picked up a few more future projects at the show.

They we’re badly painted with thick goopy brush paint but looked for the most part salvageable.

After a few hours soaking in super clean and a bit of toothbrush scrubbing they came up much better!

The Rover BRM came out like new, having been protected for years beneath that ugly paint.

The Aston Martin still has some glued in paint and some glue melt affecting the roof from when the windshield was glued in but I think it is repairable.

I forgot to remove the chrome parts so they got stripped as well but they were too shined regardless.

The Aston Martin actually  had 3 different paint jobs!

Yellow, Gold with a maroon racing stripe and the pictured silver.

So I’m guessing these are 1/32 plastic models.  Any idea who the manufacturer is?

The Rover in an old Aurora kit.

The Aston Martin is a Lindberg.

Neither kit is anything special but I think they will both make reasonable slot cars.

            Nice finds, Bill!

It’s possible that I’ve seen both those cars somewhere before.

              Yup

Hopefully I’ll be able to get a decent paint job on them. Will have to mask the windows since they are very firmly glued in.
