This latest edition of Ringwood, our 25th, featured one new addition - a BRM P578 #12 with pilot Graham Hill created by Jimbo using a DArt body kit on top of a Vanski powered scratch built wire & brass chassis. This model would later go on to make a solid debut... and I have a feeling that we will see more of these models at future Ringwood events.Filming of 'Grand Prix' wrapped up just as the grid assembled for the first race of the event... Some registered but inclement weather forcing road closures prevented their haulers from arriving. Twenty other entries made the trip successfully, including Hill who would debut his Embassy Hill DN1.

A lovely custom made 1952 Ferrari MKII Thin Wall Special raced by J.F. Gonzalez - albeit with a motor outside of the rules:

Two 1.5L models would debut at Ringwood XXII: MiA would present his #2 BRM P61 as raced by Graham HILL while the prancing horse factory would debut the #7 Ferrari 158 as raced by John SURTEES. Both models were welcome additions to Ringwood XXII and the Scratch32 model database.

Ringwood XXI (July 31, 2017) - A hot summer evening welcomed five teams arriving from across the metropolitan area to pay tribute to several Grand Prix legends, including Fangio, Brabham, Gurney & Hunt. Team P.R. Reilly arrived in style.
