Practice was underway but off to a rough start for some:

Repairs would be made in time for the event. Others practiced. No locals nor goats were hit.

…Alan De Cadanet needed to pit to repair a broken shifter and limped to the pits in 3rd gear… but after that he was on a charge!

…Hans Laine would eventually take the overall lead and hang on…

…Willy Kaussen would surprise many by finishing 5th overall and first in class (GT2)…

  1. Wow Great report. Missed this when it was first posted. You found some fantastic images. Wish I had those when I first built my cars. May have to update the models a bit with this new evidence.

  2. Excellent report. :good: Great historical pictures. :yahoo: An excellent job by everyone in making entries that were remarkably true to the original entries. Those jaunty gents from Palermo (Team Pegaso) are to be congratulated on their overall team win!! I have it on good authority that many of the team are still partying!! :wacko:
