    • New Revoslot Group 2 Tires from DArt The Revoslot Group 2 RTR models all use an alloy wheel with a reverse rib. The DArt R9 is a new club series urethane replacement tire which is much taller than the stock rubber that comes on these Grp 2 models. It also uses the same reverse rib to centre the tire on the wheel. $5 /pr.

This hand made DArt body kit is based on the original Aurora release. Molded in lightweight and resilient white plastic this one piece shell with clear plastic windscreen and separate clear headlamp lenses is perfect for any sidewinder, anglewinder or inline application. The shell alone is 142mm long x 68mm wide and weighs in at approximately 20.0 grams including windscreen and lenses. The wheelbase is approximately 75.0mm.     • 1971 Trans Am I bought an Airfix 420 that had a deformed body. I traded it in for a recently released a 1971 Trans Am from Atlantis that's simply beautiful. Looks like we have another Trans Am body style to choose from.

    • Nova Gasser The gasser class may open up the field to some new body styles. This just came out as a current release from Atlantis. I was a bit concerned about the stock hood for a gasser. But the problem was already solved. There was no mention of this bonus scoop anywhere on the box. Nice surprise. The examples.

Wait time is fairly long and I wondered whether the site was legit or not. Pricing was quite good, in Canadian dollars, free shipping. Selection is very limited, and mixed in with a bunch of R/C stuff, but if they have something you are interested in and you don't mind waiting then it might work for you.     • Value Village – limited supply of 1/32 and 1/25 kits My local Value Village has a supply of kits.  Most are 1/25  for less than $10 - Revell, AMT, Linburgh.  If I was into that scale I would have bought them. What I did pick up were 3 1/32 scale Testors "Turn of the Century Automobiles",   A 1930 Packard, 1934 Duesenburg and a 1935 Duesenburg SSJ.  $3.99 each.  The bodies are die cast metal.  I had thoughts of converting to a slot car but they are heavy (close to 150 grams) so I am not sure how practical that is. Anybody have any experience in doing that sort of conversion.   But the parts are worth the purchase - plastic wheels, bumpers, engines, mirrors etc.  Probably build them as static model for the layout.   Here are a few pics of  the 1930 and 1935 models. Folks might want to swing by their local  VV to see what they have as the part might be useful for your pre war builds.  :yes: ?

    • Another Policar GP – 1970 March 701 Porsche911 brought another wonderful Policar March 701 for some tires - out of the box it runs very well. We mounted DArt FL0203 on the plastic rear wheels... Not R32 class eligible out of the box but performance is comparable.

    • New Scaley DP OMG .... I have to applaud, maybe even give a standing ovation, to Scaley for the new Ford DP, now in stores in the Ganassi livery. As much as I liked the 1:1 cars, I wasn't intending to buy one in 1:32. But when picking up my Javelin at Mini Grid, I stared a little too long at the DP and picked it up too. The rear wheel detail was what did it! But boy am I glad I did. Not only does the car look great, but it runs great too! Out of the box, and only with a set of Super Tire 1404's mounted on the rear wheels which are now the standard size, the car was awesome. With the magnet, and weighing in at a remarkably light 109 grams of downforce, the car whipped around MG's Scaley track like it was on rails and got down into the 6.8's. That's an unheard of time for a stock Scaley. With the magnet out, and no weight added, it handled beautifully and ran easy 8.1's, with a few laps in the 8.0's and one in the high 7.9's. That's almost stock Slot.it Group C territory! With a Slot.it orange motor in I can only imagine how good it will be. This car should easily run with the Racer DP's with perhaps only a motor change. Who knows what motor, weight, and Slot.it running gear will do to it! (I like the rear wheels so much though I'd try to leave them!) Part of the performance has to do with weight. The car only weighs 75 grams! One area of possible concern; when I took the magnet out it looks like it might be advisable to do some chassis stiffening around that area. But overall, I am might impressed. Well done! One question though ... the motor has a green end bell. Does anyone know if that's a different rpm from previous motors, or just a new colour end bell with the same innards?
