Eleven new entries covering 5 classes would descend on the Ring to compete alongside returning entries to form a field of 34 primary and backup runners. Top spot in hot rods was separated by less than 6/10 of a second... the field of sportscars finished within 3 laps while sportscar plus was separated by just a single lap... and more close heats than one can remember in recent memory...

The group descended down into the Green Hell once again. This time for the sixth edition of the Internationale Meisterschaft. A diverse field of returning scratch built entries emerged from their garages for shakedown, faster and race laps. Off track excursions were controlled. A few new models made their debut too - Scarfiotti in a successful charge in his 330 P4 sidewinder - a...
Back at the Ferrari factory final preparations were being made in anticipation of the fifth running of the Internationale Meisterschaft. Crowds arrived early but the traffic was a killer.
Some had clever ideas with which to beat the traffic jam... like this Monogram salesperson who just needed a top up of that Sunoco Fuel...
Nevertheless with practice over the grids were formed and although there were enough marshals the penalty imposed for each crash...
