Thank You Guys for another fun race night.
Thank You Art for hosting :good:
I hope Chuck Norris gets some time to look under the hood of Ken’s nice Mustang
I tried until the last minute but I can not go, I am happy to see we are going back to racing and I hope you have fun today
Wow, very nice track, enjoy it
It looks great Ken, very nice design, Congratulations
Wow, Ken, it is looking very nice, Congratulations
Excellent looking track, it is great that the sharpest turns are to be run up hill. I also like the Le Mans style Start of the race.
Looking forward doing some laps soon.
Wow Ken, that is coming along very nice, I am working on some cars now and I hope they get to stamp their rubber on your track, Congratulations
My Dear Friend, I wish you a prompt recovery.
The track is looking great, Congratulations
Wow Ken, that track looks great, Congratulations
Wow, what a nice track, great job Art
It looks like a great place to race and do some work on ones cars, really nice Ken
Great Job Art, can’t wait to see what you do with the table top version
Great work Art, it looks promising, I have been looking at the Mini Z for the longest time, now with all this added possibilities that you are suggesting the idea is growing strong on me, unfortunately time remains a challenge for me but I enjoy very much what you guys are heading to.
I still need to clear coated them, the decals are from Indycals
Happy New Year for all of you, Ken I hope you are doing good My Friend
Very nice job Drew, I also did some NSR white kits as follows
Hello Guys, I have not been active with S32 Group for a long time because I have not enough time, however I keep on building and going back to previous models made to try to improve them, here is my D Arts Ferrari
Hello MIA, the chassis for the Ford is made with a .032″ brass sheet I gear it 33/12 with a Piranha 21,500 rpm motor it weights 92 grams the Porsche chassis is heavier since I used .064 Brass sheet its geared the same but with a 25,000 rpm Piranha motor it weights 108 grams.
The Porsche runs better so I think I am going to change the gear for the Ford to 32/12 for speed improvment.
This is an NSR white kit body, I made the chassis with a .32 brass plate and got the decals from Indycals, the tires are D’art, the motor is a Piranha 21,500 rpm, the weight is 90.9 grams
Thank You Guys, the decals for sure are a big help to the final result, the tire markings and the Martini livery are from Indycals, I also found another place FFSMC Productions.com with a big variety of decals and very good quality besides they come precut,I got the Englebert tire decals for the Lancia Ferrari from them
As all your builds another great looking one plus it is nice that we have a bunch of different liveries for this class.
I did not know that you had surgery.
I am Happy to hear everything went well and hope to see you racing soon.
Best Regards
Luis Meza
Thank You Guys,
For the tire decals I applied a bit of Tamiya Mark Fit, then apply the decal and add another touch of Mark Fit once it was dry, in order to eliminate the shine on the decal, I applied Tamiya clear flat over the full diameter of the tire.
The gauges I first painted in mat black and then I used dry brush with silver to pick up the elevate parts and used a tooth pick with red for the arrows.
Thank You Guys, it was really interesting to work on this front motor chassis.
The tire decals I got at Indycals the body decals I ordered from Ostorero
It runs nice on my plastic track, I need to wait and see how does it goes on a wooden track.
I would like to do some more detailing on the driver and some final touches on the body screws details.
The driver was Eddie Sachs
Then I did some work in the cockpit
Then I finalized the body work and decals
Then I installed motor, gear and guide
Then I cleaned and painted it
Nice Coppa D’oro trio Jim
Thank You DB for the information about the decals, once I have mine ready I will post some pictures
Thank You, I learn a lot from the building post of the other racers and try to be as observant as I can to be able to do my own, still a lot to learn specially on the finishes but have a lot of fun trying
Wow Felix, your level of dedication and attention to detail are to be admire, it is very encouraging into doing things with care to raise the bar on scratch build
Very nice build DB, I am working on mine, looking at others work is a big help, could you tell me where did you order the decals from?
Thank You
Thank You guys for your comments
Thank You My Friend, it is an ARll kit and you are right the quality is poor.
I will take your advise on the white wall tires and any other suggestions from the group since I want to learn.
Hello Guys,
This is a VW kit that I had for a while now siitting on my worktable, I took inspiration from Art’s Porsche 356 build for the chassis.
It was fun to build, I has a PSR 16k motor and a 10/36 pinion/spur gear combination, it weights 80.8 grams and runs very nice.
Best Regards,
Luis Meza
It was exciting to be able to participate, perhaps it would of been a better idea for them to reduce the cars to 5 per club to reach double the number of the clubs.
Thank You Ken for trying
That is great Ken, sorry for my late reply and Thank You for taking care of this on behalf of the club.
Very nice looking Porsche Chris, as all of your creations outstanding.
Best Regards
Luis Meza
Wow, Great job.
That chassis can easily go viral on the Scratch32
On a second thought I could take the cars out and we use the garage (it fits more than one Smart car), I think is big enough it has lights, power a portable a/c ( and again of course we can bring the coffee machine) and we do not have to worry about rain, heat or bugs
It sounds like an inviting idea considering today’s limitations, I have enough space on my backyard, outdoor power and some outdoor lighting I also have a bathroom in a small shed that I have in the back (of course with a espresso/cappuccino machine ) so it could be an alternative for one of the racing nights
Hello Guys,
It seems like Minigrid is organizing an auction with the cars (200) that once belonged to Mr John Flinn starting Monday, February 22nd and I thought it was a good idea to help promote the iniciative. I received an e mail from Minigrid and all you have to do is sign into their web page to register and place your bid
I will give it a try , Thank You for the advise it is greatly appreciated
Thank You guys for the feedback.
Yes MIA it really looks like a very bad and mean runner.
DB this is a pioneer body so I have no credit on the paint job.
Chris a wanted to do that but I only have plastic 8t and 9t and I was afraid it was not the best choice for such a strong motor but at the same time I thought that I needed to use a strong motor because of the weight. (do you think if I glue it will do?)
I am only learning and I embrace all the advise that you guys can give me. I admire the work you do, the level of detail and dedication it is encouraging
Thank You guys, I used a .064 brass sheet so it is heavy 142 grams, so I put a NSR 30k rpm motor and a 10/29 pinion/gear set up
It is looking very technical and professional
Thank You Ken, I still need to work on the paint finishing
Hello Guys, this is my D’Arts Brabham BT44 driven by Carlos Reutemann in 1974, I miss handle the decals and trying to fix it I made a mess, some corrections to come
I am sorry to hear you lost a friend, I did not have the pleasure of meeting him but it is always hard to loose one that we love.
Hello Guys, Best of Wishes for the New Year for everyone. We have to be grateful we have make it this far and hopefully we will burn a lot of urethane on 2021
Thank You guys, I still have a huge room for improvement but it is a lot of fun.
Yes, it is an AMT plastic kit
Thank You Chris, the work of experience builders like You, Art and others are an inspiration for Us new builders
That is a good idea Drew, I will post a picture of the two together
Thank You Dave and Drew for your comments.
I take the opportunity to wish all the members a Happy Holidays and yes, hopefully we can race together sometime soon.
And this is a Thunderbird 1960 and the chassis I build for it
